chest pain (which is why the disease is often misdiagnosed as heart disease), both of which get
worse as the disease progresses.6
A chest x-ray rarely, but sometimes, shows fluid build up between the lungs and the pleura, but
most patients are diagnosed after more extensive imaging with CT, MRI or PET scan.
Other symptoms include:
- Pain
- Cough
- Loss of appetite
- Fatigue
- Sleep problems
- Sweating
In most cases, the disease begins in one lung, typically the lower lobe of the right lung.
